I am a hairstylist and love that I can call this my path, not a job. When it doesn’t feel like work you know you made the right career decision. I have been doing hair for more than 25 years and take pride in what I have created.
In 2017 I moved to this great city, Boise, Idaho and reside here with my husband, we have 7 children between the two of us-never is there a dull moment.
I have been based in Los Angeles, CA my whole life and have been fortunate enough to have an extensive and amazing career to yes the “celebs”, but more importantly to some of the finest people I have been lucky enough to call my clients.
Traveling for the last three years between Boise and Los Angeles has been a lot of work but I am now ready to focus on Boise being my “main stage” and will happily focus on a full time clientele here.
My specialties are “anything hair”, I love doing it all. Not only do I continue to further my education on a regular basis, but for the last 15 years I have run intensive training programs for up-and-coming hair stylists, which involves more than two years working by my side as an assistant stylist before going on the floor. My training program, has produced well educated, professional business owners and creative, confident hairstylist that can create any hairstyle, color combination, straightening/smoothing techniques, any and all methods of hair extensions as well as our all time favorite, special event styling and fantasy hair.
Constantly training hairstylists for the past 15 years also ensures that I keep up to date on the latest trends. However, trends or not, it is important to treat every person that sits in my chair unique, because you are.
I have also traveled working as platform artist/educator and brand specialist as well as completely immersing myself in every line I have worked with as to know what I am offering you whether it be your at home care remedy or the formulation I choose for your unique hair “prescription” here in the salon.
I will take into account your hair type, texture, natural color, your face shape and your skin tone, even the color in your eyes tells me how I will formulate what color will best suit you. I will take into account your life style, how much time you make or have to spend on styling your own hair, my goal is to enhance not alter. However maybe every once in a while we will think outside of the box for those daring fantasy colors and/or haircuts.
Because I work extensively with the myriad of techniques as it pertains to coloring, ombré, balayage, straightening and smoothing systems and of course extensions-I have carefully hand picked every chemical line/hair extension line I work with…. nothing but the best! Currently I am working with companies from Amsterdam, Japan, Brazil, Germany and of course the U.S. I am a chemical/science nerd, I am constantly looking for the best most effective and safe product. The product with the lowest ammonia, buffered peroxides, and ph levels that are safe for your hair.
The connection that happens when spending quality one on one time, alone, void of kids, spouses, or work is so special and I cant wait to meet you and start our journey.
